This item is an Unertl adjustable mirror mount. The diameter of the mounting plate is 7.5”, and a nicely fabricated hood has been fixed to the circumference. The base does not appear to be original, nor does the back plate, although all the positioning screws and ball-pivot joint are certainly original Unertl parts.
The mounting plate does have some wear marks near the center. Adjustment screws and piston are in near-perfect condition both cosmetically and functionally. The backing plate is very nicely machined, even though it is almost certainly not original. The angle plate will require some sort of riser block in order for the mirror mount to clear the base plate.
