Large KBr salt crystal window with surface flaws.
Material – Potassium Bromide
Diameter 1.6 inches
Thickness 0.17 inches
Focal Length – flat window
Surface finish – strongly etched, (with foreign contaminants?)
Container – Plastic box with tissue lining, no desiccant
This crystal will need to be repolished – one face appears to have some contaminants on the surface, the other face is lightly etched. Box is marked ‘KBy’ but outside edge of crystal is correctly marked KBr.
