Product Description
This is a Klinger (Micro Controle) model SB18 centering support. The overall diameter of the mount is 80mm, truncated on two right-angle sides for mounting on fixtures. There are four M3 tapped holes in a 20mm square pattern on each flat as well as a centered M6 tapped hole for pin mounting. The thickness of the mount is 27mm, and the centering disk in the center is 8mm thick. The disk is threaded with a standard RMS microscope objective thread.
This support is equipped with the optional BD differential micrometers. Sensitivity afforded by these micrometers affords a setting accuracy of 0.1 micron. The range of motion is plus or minus 2mm in both Y and Z. This unit is missing a small locking screw that is used to secure the mount in the ‘set’ position. This is a simple M6 thumb screw that could easily be replaced. Overall the mount is in superb condition.
