This is an 8-inch adjustable mirror mounting, manufacturer is unknown. It rather resembles some of the larger Oriel mirror mounts, but the knob configuration and design is not the same and the carrier plate wraps around the sides of the mirror carrier more like some of the Aerotech mountings. The optic carrier plate will accept mirrors or components 8 inches in diameter and up to 1.25 inches in thickness. There is no threaded retaining ring – just three stop plates requiring the use of spacer shims for thinner mirrors.
Adjustment in elevation and azimuth is more limited than most mounts – looks like plus or minus 2 degrees or so, motion is limited by the spring-loaded support plate. Stainless steel adjustment screws are fitted into brass spindle nuts. Material appears to be black anodized aluminum. There is some fading to the anodizing, otherwise the mounting is in nearly new condition.
Outer carrier plate dimensions are 12 inches wide, 10.75 inches tall, and 3 inches deep. Optic axis height is 5.5 inches. Mounting weighs close to 13 pounds.
