This is an Aerotech gimbal mirror mount. It will accept lenses or optics up to 1” in diameter, and includes a pair of threaded retaining rings so the mirror or lens may be located within the threaded bore at will. Unlike the more expensive AOM 110 series, the 105 series lack the super-precision thimble adjustments.
Angular resolution of the control knob is 4.24 arc seconds per 0.5 degrees of rotation. Thimble is graduated into 32 parts, each representing 1 minute, 30 seconds
Full range of motion is plus/minus five degrees in each plane
Maximum component diameter is 1”
Maximum component thickness is 15mm
Overall width of the base is 2.94”
Depth of the base is 1.04”
Nominal clear aperture at zero degrees is 0.75”
Optic axis height is 1.48”
These mounts are all in good condition and fully functional. These mounts are ‘second’ grade – all have cosmetic issues, usually minor. Some mounts have been repaired (the spindles are cemented into place, and sometimes get dislodged – the repairs have not always been done neatly – photo is typical). Part number is AOM 105-1.
