Product Description
This is a rare find. It is a Nikon precision collimation mirror (type ‘B’) brand new in the cabinet. Both surfaces of the mirror are silvered and held parallel to within one arc minute. Effective diameter of the mirror surfaces is 70mm (2.75”). The mirror is suspended in a special foot with precision finishes. Additional reference surfaces are machined on the sides of the mirror base. There is an adjustable height plate that may be attached to either side of the mirror base. When lowered the plate can act as a reference guide surface to the edge of piece being tested.
Within the mirror foot is a magnet making the mirror suitable for vertical surfaces as well has horizontal surfaces. The magnet can easily be removed and replaced when needed. It is equipped with an ‘on-off’ switch. The foot span is 100mm, and approximately 90mm wide. Height of the optic axis from the base is 55mm.
The large 70mm diameter of the mirror permits the full diameter of the Nikon 6D collimator objective to be utilized. The mirror is brand new and comes in the original fitted cabinet, also in new condition.
