Product Description
This monochromator is equipped with a single adjustable slit. The mirrors have aluminum coatings, and don't appear to have any spectral coatings. There is a platform that accepts interchangeable prism holders, but no prism is present. The two large controls regulate the wavelength setting and the slit width. All mechanical functions appear to work perfectly. Coating on the main parabolic mirror is excellent. There is a very light haze on the two small flat mirrors in the 'in-line' beam path.
There is an electrical connector (looks like AC mains) from which the cord has been severed. The electrics in the base appear to be for thermal regulation. The base lacks the bottom cover. The bracket for the pivoting mirror that regulates the wavelength selection was loose. This appears to be a user adjustment, probably needing to be altered when various types of prisms are employed.
This is in spectacular condition mechanically, and excellent cosmetic condition. No light source or detector is included. We do have a selection of prisms complete with storage bell jars. Please inquire if you are looking for a particular type of prism. All prisms are priced individually.
