Product Description
This is a special type of fiber optic bundle with a standard circular type termination and a flat linear type termination on the other end. The bundle has a stainless steel armor cladding, and it is six feet in total length.
The input ferrule is 0.186 inches in diameter and 1/2 inch in length. The bundle diameter is 0.125 inches.
The 'output' termination is encased in a black-anodized aluminum block 1 inch long, 0.739 inches wide, and 0.244 inches tall. The fibers are arranged in an array that is 10mm long by just under 1mm wide. There are two clearance holes for 4-40 screws.
The bundle is in perfect condition and appears to be unused. It was manufactured by Dolan-Jenner, but there is no identification number on the bundle. It would be especially suitable for the illumination of monochromator slits (or to conduct the output of a spectrometer to an external detector). I am not sure what type of glass is used in the bundles so I am unsure of the transmission range. It appears perfectly clear in the visible range.
