Product Description
This is a motorized cross-roller bearing XY stage. The table is constructed of two identical linear stages with a top surface 8 inches wide and 14 inches long. Both linears have a full 8 inches of travel. Overall height of the two stages is 5.5 inches. The stages are actuated by side-mounted ball screws driven by Vexta Model PH268M-EO68B DC 2-Phase stepping motors. The motors have extended shafts so manual actuation knobs could be installed if desired.
On the opposite side of the stage are Heidenhain linear glass scale encoders. There are a pair of Heidenhain EXE-702B Encoder Interface Control units. The interface units do not provide visual readout of position.
Also included are a pair of Compumotor Model 2100-2-P Stepper Motor Control Units along with a pair of C-Drives and a type DC-4 Power Supply. All of the interconnect cables are present and included.
All components are in near-new condition. The stage was distributed by Optical Specialties Inc (OSI) as their model '8x8 Solid Stage', but it appears to be very similar to those manufactured by Design Components Inc (DCI), and may have rebranded as part of a system. Approximate weight of the XY stage alone is 75 pounds.
