This is a rather unusual vibration isolation table. The base appears to be a Kinetic Vibra-Plane type pneumatic suspension that has been 'rebranded' as an Optical Specialties Inc (OSI) table. The entire base is of welded construction and includes four heavy-duty casters in addition to the leveling screws under each leg. There are two leveling sensors on each of two adjacent corners, one sensor on the third corner, and none on the fourth . The framework, not including the top, is about 22 inches high. The horizontal dimensions are identical to those of the table top.
The granite top plate is 32 inches long, 23 inches wide, and 3 inches thick. There are several thread bosses that have been inserted in the upper surface (see photos). Highly unusual on this table is a massive counterweight that is fixed to the underside of the granite plate. This certainly adds greatly to the stability of the table during short moves in-house. The bottom of the weight extends to within an inch of the floor. Overall height to the upper surface of the table in the at rest position is just shy of 25 inches.
The table is in excellent condition throughout.
